LANDSCAPE IN COLOUR

My first camera was a Kodak Brownie given me as a birthday present by my father when I was nine years of age. Fortunately a number of photographs taken by me as a child still survive, mostly of landscapes, tree forms (taken in the New Forest) a few still lives. It was in 1956 that my first serious use of the camera began, that is, the London series. However my interest and passion for Nature's works are still with me and though I seldom use photography as a reference source (never in my landscape paintings) the observation of This Great Mother, this great gift to us all, is as intense as ever.
